How far we've come

I have thought for a long time that the theory of a round earth is just not a satisfying one. Frankly, I'd like to get the idea of a flat earth back on our curricula.

Also, I've been thinking for a while that really, 2 + 2 should equal 5 and it's a shame it doesn't.

Looks like now's a good time to get these issues back on the agenda!

I suppose it's only a matter of time before they legislate that the value of pi is actually three... or worse still, that all mathematical textbooks shold be replaced with the Second Book of Chronicles.

"Then he made the Sea [a big tub] of cast bronze, ten cubits from one brim to the other; it was completely round. Its height was five cubits and a line of thirty cubits measured its circumference. It was a handbreadth thick; and its brim was shaped like the brim of a cup..... It contained three thousand baths."

Quote: 'President George Bush has started a debate in the United States over the teaching of evolution in school by suggesting a theory known as "intelligent design" should be taught in the classroom. It proposes that life is too complex to have developed through evolution, and an unseen power must have had a hand.'

Isn't there something ironic about the simplest man on earth arguing that life is too complex to have developed through evolution. I imagine that a primary school student could easily recreate George W's brain using only a 40 watt globe and a pair of double A batteries. Certainly doesn't seem complex.

Hehe- so true.

I can't believe they were actually going to legislate to make pi three. What are we becoming?

Well considering they tried this shit on in 1897, I daresay if we continued to become whatever we were becoming then we would most certainly have become it by now....

So what have we become? I think your article here answers the question perfectly! 'Intelligent Design' sounds like something concocted by the Apple marketing department. Hey! Now there's an iDea...
